Essential oils are derived from real plants and fruits. Using them on the skin or in aromatherapy, they offer physical benefits to the mind and body. For this reason, it is important to be careful when using them. Love Spell - A romantic scent, mixing light fruit, citrus, and florals. Similar to the Victoria’s Secret type.

Macadamia Nut Coffee – Rich blend of sweet vanilla and macadamia nuts.

Mandarin Plum - A sweet blend of fruity plum and citrus.

Mango Papaya - Sweet, fruity, and tropical with a hint of citrus.

Midsummer Night - A masculine scent similar to Drakkar; clean and uplifting. Similar to the Yankee candle scent.

Oh Christmas Tree – Like a fresh cut spruce Christmas tree with a hint of citrus.

Paris Sunset – A bit of a romantic fragrance. This one is hard to describe. Citrus blended with sweetness.

Peppermint Candy – Smells like sweet, peppermint candy canes.

Pomegranate - A fruity, sweet fragrance that smells delicious.

Pumpkin Bread – A wonderful mixture of cinnamon, ginger, nutty pumpkin, and brown sugar, along with a hint of vanilla and orange peel. (Not skin safe.)

Pumpkin & Spice - A warm blend of pumpkin, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, ground cloves.

Raspberry Truffle - Indulge in the chocolate and raspberries. Like chocolate truffles filled with sweet raspberry, raspberry liqueur, and whipping cream.

Red Clove – Smells like the real thing.

Rocky Mountain Pine – Smell the coniferous trees of the mountains.

Spring Rain - An awesome floral with a hint of spice.

Sun Bathed - A unique, clean fragrance with subtle floral and spice undertones.

Sweet Pea - A delightful fragrance of sweet pea flowers, violets and sun-ripened berries. Similar to the Bath and Body Works type.

Tropical Forest – A tropical blend of strawberries, pomegranates, vanilla, and coconut with hints of rose petals and soft jasmine.

Tropical Fruit Craze - A refreshing blend of tropical fruits with a twist of citrus and a hint of coconut.

Vanilla Hazelnut - Vanilla complemented with toasted hazelnuts.

White Lily & Amber – A soft background of white amber and musk provide a comfortable backdrop for crisp top notes of cyclamen and smooth mimosa with middle notes of white lily.

This past weekend’s craft show at Palmer High School wrapped up this year’s craft season for us. I believe we had a pretty good season considering I entered it so late and was submitting applications for craft shows at the very last minute. We met so many wonderful people—browsers, shoppers, and fellow crafters.

I have to admit it feels pretty good today knowing I don’t have any more impending shows any time soon. We have been working so hard, it is great to get a little break. It is now time to focus more on the home front as Christmas Day approaches along with another one of our children’s birthdays. It was quite hectic having our daughter’s birthday coincide at the same time as this past weekend’s craft show. But somehow, we managed it all. She celebrated for two consecutive days and had a fabulous weekend turning fifteen years old.

Along with feeling some relief of more restful days ahead, there’s also a bit of disappointment thinking of waiting at least five or six months before the next show. We’ll miss all the fun and exciting aspects that go along with them. In the months ahead, I will continue to build our candle inventory, so when the craft show season begins again I won’t have such intense candle making work.

Just because the craft shows are over, it doesn’t mean we are done making or selling candles! Not by a long shot. Our “home store” is always open. We always welcome special orders and are always offering our fun candle making classes. By tomorrow sometime, I will have posted a current listing of our present inventory of already made candles available for immediate purchase. I will also be posting pictures of the new wax tarts we are selling for melting pots and of the beautiful new 10 ounce container we have available.

Once again, we want to thank everyone so very much for their support. Many thanks to our friends who came by at our craft show booths to say hello, to offer encouraging words, and purchase candles. Another great, big thanks to all the *new* friends who stopped by our booths to learn more about our candles and/or make purchases. Grateful thanks to all the fellow crafters we met for their friendliness towards us and their offers of great ideas to help our business venture.

It was a fantastic weekend for us in Monument. We met so many wonderful people and thoroughly enjoyed talking to everyone who stopped by our booths. Thank you for stopping by and thank you to those who also made candle purchases.

A few things I would like to mention:

It is now official! We have been approved and can now accept credit card payments!

We had some customers requesting tealight refills for their tealight holders at home. We will have those available soon. In the meantime, we do have wax-filled glass tealight holders.

We've also had requests for scented wax tarts for use in melting pots. We should have some of these available this coming weekend at the craft fair at Palmer High School in downtown Colorado Springs. We will offer packages that comes with six tarts which easily pop out for use.

The essential oil aromatherapy candles have been quite popular, so we will continue to expand the fragrances we have available. They are of superb scent and quality and most definitely our favorites. More oils are on order, and we hope to have additional new scents available this coming weekend.

For the customers who were disappointed when we ran out of Hazelnut Coffee, I have placed another order for more of this fragrance oil and hope to get another batch of this delightful scent poured and ready this week.

NEW Fragrances

New fragrances have arrived, but I will not be able to formally update the fragrance listing until after this weekend due to two craft shows going on in Monument. I wanted to take a brief moment to at least mention them until I can update the listing.

In our regular fragrance oils selection, we've added Hazelnut Coffee, Macadamia Nut Coffee, and Christmas Carol. We will have these candles available this weekend.

In our essential oil fragrance selection, we've added Lemongrass, Mandarin Orange, Grapefruit, Tranquility Blend, Energize Blend, and Lemon Eucalyptus. I have candles made of all of these except the Lemon Eucalyptus. I've just run out of time to make any of that one for this weekend.

Hope you'll come visit our booths this weekend at the Moms Club Holiday Extravaganza at St. Peter's Church and the Kiwanis Club North Pole Craft Fair at Lewis Palmer Middle School.
